WebCrawlers.com is in the business of providing high-quality, data-driven SEO services. To lead our industry, we must collect certain information. WebCrawlers.com strives to protect information collected from visitors and paid users (each, a "Visitor" or "User", or "you") in connection with their access to and use of WebCrawlers.com websites (including any of its subdomains, the "Website"), the WebCrawlers.com platform, and related services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes how we (WebCrawlers.com, together with its affiliated companies and brands worldwide, collectively, "WebCrawlers.com", "we" or "us") collect and use your information in providing our Services.
Before you visit our website or use our Services, we encourage you to read this Privacy Policy to understand when, why, and how we collect and use your personal information. Any contract entered into between you and us shall govern any specific terms that may be in conflict with this Privacy Policy. Any applicable data privacy laws shall also remain in full effect despite this Privacy Policy.
After reading our Privacy Policy, if you disagree or oppose our data privacy practices, you must immediately leave WebCrawlers.com and avoid or discontinue any of our Services. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@WebCrawlers.com.
What Information Does WebCrawlers collect?
2.1. Visitor And User Information
We collect two types of information from Visitors and Users: 1) Non-personal Information and 2) Personal Information.
Non-personal Information is un-identified and non-identifiable information pertaining to a Visitor or un-identified User, which may be made available to us, or collected automatically via his/her use of the Services. Examples include, but are not limited to, your IP address, zip code, browsing history, search history, interactions with our Website, location, referring URL, browser, operating system, internet service provider, data usage, data transferred, and clicks on our outreach campaigns. Such Non-personal Information does not enable us to identify the Visitor or User from whom it was collected.
Personal Information is individually identifiable information, namely information that identifies an individual or may, with reasonable efforts, cause the identification of an individual, or may be of a private or sensitive nature. Examples include, but are not limited to, your name, email, telephone number, website, business information, billing details, address, keyword targets, conversion traffic, and published content. For the avoidance of doubt, any Non-personal Information that is connected or linked to Personal Information is deemed and treated by us as Personal Information, as long as such connection or linkage exists.
2.2. Visitor Identification And Data Enrichment
We may use third-party data providers and technologies to enhance and better understand information about Visitors to our Website. This may include the use of tools that attempt to identify businesses or individuals associated with website visits based on IP address, device information, or other signals. Through these tools, we may receive additional information, such as a Visitor's company name, industry, job role, or contact information, where available from third-party data sources.
How do we collect such information?
Initially, we collect information when you visit our website. Typically, a first-time Visitor and/or User will provide their name, email address, phone number, domain, and the Services they would like us to provide.
After you have expressed your desire to use our Services, we collect additional information from you through email correspondence and phone conversations with our customer sales team. In addition to the information above, we collect information you voluntarily provide, including, but not limited to, the following: site goals, marketing budget, multi-location targeting data, keyword targets, conversion traffic, and campaign monitoring metrics.
How We Use and Protect Your Data?
We collect your Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate our Services, including the Growth Engine and Drafting environments;
- To provide our customer dashboard and secure Approval Gate infrastructure to you;
- To safely ingest live Google Search Console (GSC) and SERP data for your specific enterprise;
- To facilitate authorized deployments directly to your connected WordPress CMS;
- To enhance or improve your overall platform experience.
Anonymized Data
WebCrawlers.com may aggregate and anonymize data collected through our Growth Engine (such as search volume trends, intent clustering patterns, and SERP volatility). This anonymized data, which cannot be used to identify you or your business, helps us improve our data-mining models, surface better multi-location content gaps, and refine our platform’s analytical capabilities.
Where do we store your information?
Your personal information and connected platform data are stored on secure, enterprise-grade cloud servers (such as AWS or Google Cloud) located primarily within the United States. We implement strict logical isolation to ensure your proprietary search data, drafted briefs, and WordPress configurations remain siloed and accessible only to authorized users within your organization.
Sharing personal information with third parties
WebCrawlers.com does not sell your personal information. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf to operate our Services (e.g., payment processors, secure cloud hosting, and necessary API gateways like Google or WordPress). All third parties are bound by strict data processing agreements and confidentiality obligations.
Use of cookies and other tracking technologies
We utilize cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session continuity, remember your dashboard preferences, and analyze how Visitors interact with our platform. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings; however, disabling certain necessary cookies may impact your ability to fully utilize the WebCrawlers.com platform and secure Approval Gate.
Communications
We may use your Personal Information to send you critical service updates, Approval Gate notifications (e.g., "Draft ready for review"), and promotional materials. You may opt out of receiving promotional emails at any time by utilizing the "unsubscribe" link included in such communications. Essential transactional and security notices cannot be opted out of.
Protection of Personal Information
Security is paramount at WebCrawlers.com. We employ industry-standard encryption (such as AES-256 for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit) to protect your connected GSC data and WordPress credentials. While we enforce rigorous security protocols, no internet-based system is 100% invulnerable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Regulatory Rights and Third-Party Policies
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, request the deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (although WebCrawlers.com does not sell your data). To exercise these rights, contact privacy@WebCrawlers.com.
EU Privacy Rights (GDPR)
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), WebCrawlers.com acts as a Data Processor for the data you ingest into our platform, and a Data Controller for your account information. You possess the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability.
Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information and connected platform data only for as long as your account is active, or as necessary to provide you with our Services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Upon account termination, your connected Google and WordPress data is wiped from our active servers within 30 days, in accordance with our strict data lifecycle policies.
18+ to use our Services
The WebCrawlers.com platform is designed strictly for enterprise and professional use. Our Services are not intended for, nor do we knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, it will be deleted immediately.
Updates to our Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a prominent notice on your WebCrawlers.com dashboard prior to the change becoming effective. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised policy.
Limited Use Requirements (Google API Services)
WebCrawlers.com' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs (such as Google Search Console) to any other app will adhere to the strictly defined Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your GSC data is used solely to power the Growth Engine and is never sold, transferred to data brokers, or used for unrelated advertising.
User Consent for Platform Tools
WebCrawlers.com strictly operates on a "human-in-the-loop" execution model. We do not support autonomous, unvetted publishing. By using our drafting and data-mining tools, you consent to our methodology: all generated content briefs, schemas, and local search strategies are presented solely as recommendations and require explicit manual sign-off at your designated Approval Gate before deployment.
WordPress One-Click Login & Integration
To facilitate a seamless deployment pipeline, WebCrawlers.com offers direct integration with your WordPress CMS. This connection utilizes secure authentication protocols (such as Application Passwords or OAuth). We only request the minimum permissions necessary to push authorized, human-approved drafts from the Approval Gate to your staging or live WordPress environment. We do not alter your core site files or plugins.
Google User Data: Retention and Deletion
When you authorize WebCrawlers.com to ingest your live search data via Google APIs, you maintain full control over that access. You may revoke WebCrawlers.com’ access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account Security settings. Upon revocation or account closure, WebCrawlers.com will permanently purge your synchronized GSC and SERP data from our databases within 30 days.
